Honor can be solemn and formal: I see honor in military uniforms and flags. Honor is for veterans who have sacrificed for freedom's sake in ways we cannot imagine. Honor is regal and majestic - of things gold and silver, purple robes, dark uniforms. Honor is in daily, informal life as well: the remembrance of your hand as a child, clutching your mother's tattered apron, and thankfulness for those sacrifices she made years ago. Honor is hearing your friend's deepest secrets or worries over a cup of coffee and guarding those secrets as promised. Honor is placing flowers by a graveside. Honor is the gracious act of giving a warm casserole to someone in a time of need. Honor is recognizing needs in others and stepping up to offer assistance. I see honor in helping an elderly person across the street or helping them to read a label in the store. Honor is caring for our earth, our trees and our waterways. Our plants and animals and air that we must recognize as essential to life on earth. In honor is both humility and strength. It is bowing down to lift others up. It is putting others before self.

This month's collaborative project from the Studio Girls comes across as very masculine, and we're sure you'll find it useful in scrapping those heritage pages that involve the veterans in your family as well as more generic pages for this season. We love the sophisticated, regal feel to this kit and hope you will, too.

This month's participating designers are: Baers Garten Designs, Berna Datema, Birgit Kerr, Dana Frantz, Doris Castle, Studio Flergs, Lorie Davison, Meredith Fenwick, mgl Scraps, Michelle Godin, Phuong Ton, Traci Sims, and Wendyzine Scraps.
