Scrapbookgraphics.com :: Kits :: Helter Skelter: FULL KIT

Helter Skelter: FULL KIT By Flergs

**Part 1 was previously available as a freebie during the SYTYCD contest at DSA.**

However the alpha was NOT included originally.

Ok here is my explanation for this {not so} Beatles inspired kit
which was the requirement.

Well Helter Skelter is my fave Beatles song…however I was more inspired by the Motley Crue version which is how I first heard it.

So as you can tell I was very into the rock n roll mind. Dirty, grungy, sex drugs & rock rock etc…and also think kind of vintage, school of rock, maybe what you’d find in an old rockers attic?

My colour & style inspiration came from this wikipedia paragraph:
McCartney was inspired to write the song after reading a 1967 Guitar Player magazine interview with The Who’s Pete Townshend where he described their latest single, “I Can See for Miles,” as the loudest, rawest, dirtiest song The Who had ever recorded. McCartney then “wrote ‘Helter Skelter’ to be the most raucous vocal, the loudest drums, et cetera” and said he was “using the symbol of a helter skelter as a ride from the top to the bottom—the rise and fall of the Roman Empire—and this was the fall, the demise.” In British English, the term helter-skelter not only has its meanings of “confused” or “confusedly” but is the name of a spiralling amusement park slide. McCartney has used this song as a response to critics who accuse him of only writing ballads.
